Why is Toronto trading Brodie for a rental in Manson? Dermott and a 2nd won't get Chiarot. Why Domi? Because his Dad played for the Leafs? Leafs don't need Miller now that they've traded for Lyubushkin.

Not a fan of the idea to trade Nick Robertson, despite the injury he shows a lot of upside and potential

Any Brodie trade is a bad one, but that one is particularly bad.

Chiarot is not getting moved for anything less than a first round pick or a former first round pick prospect. Especially not to a divisional rival like Toronto on top of that.

As a Columbus fan, I love this. Which probably means Toronto shouldn't do it.

Umm, you guys won't be adding in a Manson-for-Brodie trade. In fact, we'd be adding so much, I'm not sure I would be brave enough to post it.

Completely agree - I'd be very happy with this.

That Mrazek contract is a little iffy, particularly because I'd like to see Tarasov splitting the starts with Elvis. Still, I honestly wouldn't have a problem either throwing him on waivers for someone to claim for free, or working out a trade to somewhere else with retention.

I could see CBJ being a middle-man on a trade with EDM or someone, retaining a chunk for them for a 2nd/3rd.

Exactly this. This feels like a home run deal for Columbus. I am completely willing to do this.

I'd add Bemstrom to this for TOR. He's clearly been passed up on the roster with CBJ. Low risk move for TOR to give the former SHL goals leader a chance to regain his form on a potent TOR team.

As much as I, and a lot of people, want to tell MTL fans to cool down on their expectations for a Chiarot return, CBJ were able to turn Savard into a 1st and a 3rd.
