I'd prefer to see a different piece or pieces move in this deal instead of Niemela

I can't see Van giving away JT for this let alone Shenn. 2 former 3rd rounders plus a late first is not enough. Good for Toronto though. They could bring back Muzzin for the playoffs and do what Tampa did and Vegas are doing.

You will see different pieces but it will be not SDA. There's no deal without a RD prospect. of his level.

More like NIemela and Amirov.

He's not a rental.

I agree, but you can have Liljgren and Amirov. But then it's no first. A lower pick is fine.

BTW, stop disappearing. @Rhea is very sad when you're not here......

Not saying Vancouver would do the trade....but really how is cap compliant for the Leafs? Muzzin can't be put on LTIR indefinitely, just because the Leafs want cap.

The league are looking for a way to close this loophole so teams won't be able to put player on long term injury list and make them play in playoffs.

No, players just can't be on LTIR until the playoffs, just because a team wants cap space.

I guess scratch all that since Amirov is off the block.

Yeah, just read about it this morning. Feel terrible for the kid. Hopefully it's something that can be taken care of surgically without having too much of his life affected. Hockey is definitely secondary.

None of those prospects plus a 1st rounder are getting you JT Miller.

Vancouver is not looking to stock their farm team forever. They want players that WILL make the NHL and play on the top 6 F or top 4 D.
None of those ever will.
