Kurtis MacDermid is a spooky guy

Created by: RichardAvs
Team: 2021-22 Colorado Avalanche
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 2, 2022
Published: Mar. 3, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
In this scenario EJ has a mystery injury a week before trade deadline and is put on LTIR. The 4th line and 3rd D pairing would be a constant rotation depending on results. Also not sure if Byram will be ready to go this season, so Wideman is insurance if Barron or even MacDonald aren’t ready to roll. All in all it’s just a set team going into playoffs with a big lead in the central. Also IDK what the Stars are at this point.

We aren’t trading Wideman if it’s not a 4th RD pick

Not a deal to be done for Pavelski unless there’s an unprotected 1st Round Pick (among other things) included in the deal.

Not true. He’s got a NMC and the Stars will just lose him in June anyways if they don’t make playoffs.

They’re not handing him to one of their biggest rivals for poor value, plus I wouldn’t be so sure to him leaving. Pavelski and Dallas are apparently in contact negotiations and he wants to stay there.

Also he’s got a 3 team NTC not a NMC.

Or they re-sign him? He likes Dallas & wants to stay in Dallas. Both parties are already working on a potential extension.

If want a PPG forward, even as a rental, you’re going to have to give up AT LEAST market value for him, possibly more depending on demand. And right now, given his play, market value is a late guaranteed 1st Round Pick & a solid prospect.

I would think the price on Pavelski would be close to what’s out there for Giroux. Dallas probably has more motivation to keep Pavelski, considering they’re in the hunt, than Philly does Giroux.

If he likes it there why can’t he just go on a cup run with Avs and resign in Montreal this summer? No way Colorado keeps him, and if Montreal and him have a good relationship rent him to a top tier team.

Then he stays in Dallas. It’s not like they have anyone else they need to re up this summer…
