The Hawks decline. It doesn’t help them. The additional cap hurts them more than anything.

Yep this makes sense....trading seven Leaf regulars, for six out of playoff players . At the Leafs lose on term, cheap futures and picksshakes head

Take out Schenn add a 2nd or 3rd and I think value is there.

I don’t see why the Canucks would trade him to Toronto without one of Knies/Niemela headlining the package

Not to mention how nearly impossible it would be to make 7 trades in a single day.

I’d probably do the Vancouver trade in the leafs perspective. The chicago trade is a massive overpay. If they took out Brodie and the 3rd then maybe. The isles trade I would take out Chara, Dermott, and the 2nd and just do Mayfield for Anderson. Then probably would do the holl for ZAR trade (even though the pens would decline that. Then take out ZAR and Steeves in the Kessel trade and maybe.
I think that would upgrade the leafs pretty well.
I wouldn’t do any other trades though.
    Bunting-Matthews-Marner
    Miller-Tavares-Nylander
    Robertson-Kampf-Kessel
    ZAR-Spezza-Simmonds
    Reilly-Brodie
    Sandin-Lyubushkin
    Dermott-Mayfield

That’s a solid and deep lineup.

Chicago agrees but only after Toronto agrees to swap Hagel for Nylander, why you would think Chicago would accept your offer is beyond comprehension

Maybe. I think you are getting 3 assets that you really want so its fair.
