PHI fans should really stop sending RISTO to BOS. We’re not going to resign him, so there for we’re not giving up a first for one of the statically worse rental defenseman in the league. Sorry your simply stupid GM overpayed a boatload for him

Not saying we wouldn’t like his gritty play but just an overpay we don’t really need

can't do it and the avs would never move EJ for cap reasons, they dont disrespect their vets like that

Arizona declines. They are in a rebuild and will be for the next 2-3 years. They need/want blue chip prospects. JVR does nothing for them, Konecny is decent but he will be 1 year from UFA most likely by the time Arizona is ready to compete. There is also no good prospect in your package

Boston not paying for Risto who would purely be a rental and RD3. Much rather have Braun for a lot less.

Well that whole EJ thing has been covered, I also don’t think Barron will be included in a Giroux trade.

Saw that idea in another post. I actually think it hurts the Flyers ability to go after Gaudreau in the off-season, so I removed it.

I think it really comes down to how much of a bidding war there is for Giroux. My guess is most likely it’s two picks or a player and a pick.

I agree. So I have been all over with this. Giroux is driving the bus undoubtedly. Compher or Jost just have to be included to make it work for the cap, and the Avs can’t trade a dman like Murray because of depth issues.

Flyers need depth at RD so they hopefully push for him. Otherwise they’ll have to try to land a Pysyk, Rutta, or another cheap RHD option in free agency.

A couple things I saw in the news that make sense. Giroux’s 1000th game is coming up and the Avs literally need to accrue as much cap space as they can before the dead line possibly allowing them to not have to include a 3rd team:
