No from Winnipeg. The Jets aren't waiting until 23 for a pick when they aren't getting a player they need back.

No thanks from Detroit. Those picks are uninspiring and 3 drafts away.

Everyone easily declines. No one is giving value for bad contracts, underwhelming prospects, low picks and spare parts.

In a perfect world. Yes I am mortgaging the future. But the team is still young enough to win now and next few seasons. And gives around 16 million of cap space for the off season with 3 RFAS to sign which I see all 3 signing around a average of 7 million between the three and 9 million left to replace fleury and a right shot D and still be able to re sign one of copp or Kane. Personally I’d resign Kane and ristolainen promote Holloway next year and sign a veteran 1b like holtby and give skinner the net. Top 9 stays in tact with copp and foegel swapping and dcorps is I. Good shape and set for years with nurse, Bouchard & chyckrun

Yzerman is open to taking on salary for future picks and Kassian can play. A change of scenery and being close to his hometown of Windsor might to him good

No room for Kassian at the inn. And those picks are way to far away.

It’s a better return then buffalo got for Eichel and losing broberg is tough but chuckrun is only 23 it’s a dream world scenario. It all fits under the cap and one can dream we ice a team like this

If you swap out Samorukov and instead insert Tullio or Chiasson, then I think that plus the 2nd could work for Copp.

Looks like expiring Turris contract was done for cap reasons, so the sweetener on that needs to be better than a 5th.

The Jets have depth on the left side, they need the right side.

How so? None of the trades were obviously one sided. And I didn’t over value any oiler roster player.

Devils pass on giving Edmonton $2.2 in cap space for next year on a goalie they don't want

Fair enough Id swap him with chaisson and the 5th for a turris cap dump for a month is fair lol the jets are trading stastny as well. At least they get a player who’s offensively minded and never really got a shot to prove himself here

Every single one of these are slanted in the Oilers favor. Cap space, negative assets, retention and just overall the pieces involved. In my opinion, there is not a single trade here that is even close for the other team.

The Jets are not making the playoffs, so Turris isn't needed. The Jets will just take an extended look at the farm hands. Keep the 5th and Turris.

The Arizona deal is more then buffalo got from Vegas.
Chicago is getting way more then what they paid for fleury
Philly gets the power play dman they need
All salary retention is for the remainder of the season and draft picks aren’t protected. In my opinion none of these are hosing any team in a trade. And as a fan one can fantasize building a cup winning squad hense arm chair GM 😂

What’s with these 4-1 type of trades. Run out of assets VERY fast doing that. Revamp half the roster mid season. I honestly don’t even know what to say.

Do you seriously think THIS is the year for Edmonton to go all-in? Are they THAT close to being a Cup contender? They aren't even in a playoff position and you'd sell out the future for a bunch of guys they won't be able to re-sign?

That's not even the same thing...Bernier got hurt. They didn't acquire him in helping out another team. lol

They are looking for a goalie, but not just looking to do someone a favor by taking on a toxic deal...

I think this roster puts them in the top tier of the league. They’ll have 16 million in cap space in the off season the whole right side are RFA’S and under team control. You’ll probably lose copp and ristolinen. High chance Kane resigns. Holloway won’t be in the minors next year. Bouchard will take a step forward next year.

So that said the team will need a right shot 3rd pair D man and a 1b goalie like holtby to run with skinner for two years and konovalov will be ready for back up duties.

Yes the next 3 years are mortgaged but with theses suggested moves they’ll be a top tier team for the next 5 years.

You need to be bold and take risks sure mid season move to do a major turn over. But it tells your team your all in! Do you think we can keep McDavid and DRAI happy and motivated to stay here. Even if they don’t win with this lineup and lose to Colorado in the WCF or in the finals against Tampa. It’s still a win. The learning experience for a young group would be huge. The best thing for Crosby was his first final loss to Detroit! The penguins weren’t lighting the world on fire with Crosby, Letang, Malkin and fleury. They missed the playoffs or early eliminations. They finally loaded up and re hauled and lost in the finals. The next year they won and where a top tier team for years after. And when fully healthy they can still win it all because they have that pedigree and know what it takes to win. McDavid, DRAI, Nurse and nuge need that same lesson and also same belief in them from management by taking drastic measures
