3 way trade

Initial Creation Date: Mar. 8, 2022
Published: Mar. 8, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Detroit serves as a middle man to retain salary in a Fleury to Toronto trade. They also pay a steep price to bring Debrincat in. Is this an overpayment? CapFriendly users love to comment "not enough" so here's an extremely overpayment for your troubles.

I'd take DeBrincat but this doesn't get you DeBrincat.

if you want debrincat zadina and hronek wont cut it we have jones and murphy as RD so hronek would be a second or third pairing guy, hawks dont need zadina who is struggling to find his game in the nhl yes I know a change of scenery could do him good but chicago dont do those types of projects anymore now that bouwman is gone it would take an over payment for debrincat so prob have to be edvinsson, your first this year and more

Hahaha, I know man...I was just fishing to see what kind of ridiculous anti-DubCat bias was going to come out. Guy is a dynamic scorer...I'd love to have him in Anaheim.

I agree. I'm against trading Hronek there just aren't a lot of RHDs good at both ends of the ice. But for DeBrincat I'd drive Hronek to the airport.

I mean... I know you'd like to think that, but all indications are that TOR is absolutely ready to do so, especially if there is a 3rd party willing to retain more of his salary. Also, It is absolutely worth noting that TOR's 1st round pick is going to be a very late. That being said, this is not enough for Debrincat.

there are zero indications that the leafs are looking to do anything of the sort. Hell, there are zero indications that the leafs are even looking at goalies at all, let alone paying amounts for one that like 2 goalies in the past 10 years maybe have gotten. Goalies, especially old pending UFA ones not having great seasons do not get 1st rounders.

Yeah i'm pretty sure Detroit would love to bring DeBrincat home, Only thing is this is nowhere close to a deal to get him.
