Isn't the major danger with college kids they can just threaten to wait until they graduate and then sign with whomever they want?

Devils have almost retained in recent deadlines, so can't imagine they wouldn't again.

Its some risk, and could be an issue with the 5th year added for some guys.
But most guys do sign.

I agree, but if the Devils tossed like a mid round pick back so the avs can use that as a TDL currency, no issues giving up both

Always a lot of fun when fans of other teams notice our prospects. I just started noticing Ambrosio this year. I think Zacha is a good call for the Avs.

Meh. Subban seems like a great guy off the ice and he brings a lot of flare to this sport that we need more of (IMO), but I've never been a big fan of his game. I'd rather try to trade McBain for an asset we will have for the long-term (like a pick/another prospect) over a rental

I like Zacha. I think I may have been the first on this site to suggest Zacha to the Avs. However, I disagree with other Avs fans above. I don't think the move Helleson for Zacha. Ranta, Kaut, Foudy, etc. are on the table, but I honestly think Helleson will only be moved in a package for a bigger fish.

I could be totally wrong here though.
