Barrie doesn’t have any value to the jackets. Just give us a 2nd for domi and call it a day

Brown's likely worth a 1st without retention but definitely worth at least a 1st+ with retention. Paul is probably a 2nd, Forsberg a 3rd.

Yamamoto and Foegele arent worth that.

Why would the Sabres have ANY interest in Shore or Perlini?
They wouldn’t
If u want Pysyk, it’s gonna be AT LEAST a 3rd
But he’s played well for us & we’re trying to keep him,
so we might not move him

Yamamoto has been playing top 6 in Edmonton for more than 2 seasons. He’d play top 6 in Ottawa despite your opinion and is under team control for several years. This is tons of value.

Fogele’s a solid 3rd liner signed to a decent deal for the next 2 years. This is good value.

Brown is not a 20 goal scorer anymore, so a 1st is delusional. Yamamoto is a 1st rounder, but does not have great scoring numbers yet, but he is one of the most tenacious fore checkers in the league and is highly skilled, He’ll be a 25 to 30 goal scorer within 2 years.

Paul is a solid 4th liner on a playoff team, which is worth a 4th or a 5th Rounder. Same with Forsberg who is in his 9th year as a career back-up. He’s played 40 NHL games in the last 4 seasons, all but 11 this year. 0 Playoff games. The only other team who might have interest is Carolina. He’s worth a 4th at the most.

This is more than fair. Any lucid GM would do this deal in a heartbeat.

Psyk is not worth a 3rd, he would not dress much, he would be insurance as a 4RD. He is a UFA who has played in Buffalo for years. He would most likely return next year anyway.

Shore is better than most of the current bottom 6 in Buffalo and has another year left. He is a decent player who shows flashes of skill. Perlini is an RFA, Sabres can test drive him and offer a contract if he shows well. He is still a young player with size, speed and cannon for a shot.

Why is the 8th leading scorer on a poor team worth a 2nd? So Andrew Peeke or Robbie Stucker are superior to Barrie, you figure?

It's more that we need more defensively oriented blueliners.

And the 2nd for Domi is a step down from the original ask. Remember what we got for Foligno and Savard last year?

That was a different market. I doubt that there is much demand for Domi, he had an excellent season 4 years ago, has only played in 10 playoff games with meh results and is not a Centre.

In the past 2 seasons he has 53 points, in that same time Barrie has 73. In the past 10 games Domi has averaged less than 14 minutes per game and has 5 assists. These are not numbers that nets a 2nd round pick.

FWIW, Barrie has averaged 16 minutes and has 8 assists in the last 10 games.

Worst case scenario Barrie is valuable to someone and a team would easily give up a 2nd for him. In reality Barrie with his offense and his 2 more seasons is worth a first round pick.

Your valuations are painfully low.

Brown’s scoring at a 60 point pace this year. 16 points in 10 games to lead the scoring in the World Championships the summer before. 51 point pace the year before that. One of the leagues leading penalty killers. Signed for only 3.6m with an extra year on his deal and in this scenario you’re asking Ottawa to retain half so he’s only 1.8m against the cap. In what world is that not worth a 1st?? Thinking that’s not worth at least a 1st.. THAT’S delusional. No ‘lucid’ GM does Brown at 50% for Yamamoto and Foegele let alone with Forsberg and Paul attached to it.

Add in the fact that both Yamamoto and Foegele have been extremely disappointing and you’re no where near getting a deal accepted. If they can’t produce on a team with arguably the two best players in the world then why would anyone think they would be more productive on one of the worst teams in the league.

Does Yamamoto, who’s scoring at a 30 point pace, play ahead of Tkachuk? Stuetzle? Formenton? Maybe but probably not and if the answer is no then he’s not in the top 6. Foegele 100% would not be. Couple the fact in that Ottawa has significantly deeper left wing/shot depth than right and it really paints the picture that Brown (RW) for Yamamoto (LW) and Foegele (LW) really makes no sense.

If a 4th is the best that’s offered for Paul then Ottawa keeps him. Simple. Save the post. If he gets moved for a pick that low I will personally transfer you $100. Valuation is way off.

Same with Forsberg, he’s been the lone piece shining on a team that doesn’t have much in terms of highlights. He’s been consistently great (save the last game) and has better numbers than Murray while, unlike Murray, has also being able to avoid the IR every other month. Again, if the most he gets as a return is a 4th then Ottawa keeps him. Very simple.

None of what you offered is. Easy pass.
