i swear ever since advance stats like war and gar got publicly available thats all people refer to. im not trying to dish out on jonas, he's having a truly srtong year, one of the low key biggest surprised of the season. these stats fluctuate so much, look how much the names at the top are changing every year. guys at the top ends up not being in the top 100 the next year all the times. To me being a great defensemen iscmore than just looking at one stat .( i know i didnt really answer your question, this is more just about being #1 a given year in a stat category doesnt translate to being one of the best defenseman) .

I wish we could acquire Siegenthaler but he's almost certainly not availabe, and would cost quite a bit more.

It's not a homer take, he has had top-10 defensive impact this year.

He's not a top 10 defensive d-man in the league. He's been really good this year, not taking that away from him, but not top 10.
That stated, Sunny wouldn't fetch him in a 1 for 1 trade.

when i meant this guy i meant thread starer not you if it wasnt clear. iM sure you know more about him than i do, ive only watched about 20 devils game i would say this year. but being a devils fan means you are probably more biased toward him also. And maybe you are right and there is something im not seeing, thats also very possible about jonas. there is no such thing as objectively top 10 defensemen this year. i guess i just feel people watch a few advance stat then make this claim. but maybe you are right and im wrong about him. (ill defintly pay extra attention to him after this conversation! still not convinced but i might be after!)
