I believe that the Bruins are the ideal example of a team with a moron at the helm... Let's trade off all the young kids who are developing or then the fans of let's get a win not acquisition... You do realize if you have no one in the system the second the rat, bergeron, etc. retire you guys will be so irrelevant no one will want to touch you with a 10-foot pole, and it will take you around 10 years of rebuild to get even close to relevancy again (look at NJ).

First off, it’s not me. I’m not on the Boston bruins.

Secondly, they have a 23 year old goalie that last time i checked was leading the league in GAA. Arguably their best player is 24. They have a guy that led the league in goals who is only 25. Marchand is 33, but hasn’t really showed signs of slowing down. Maximizing the bergeron window is the only play that makes sense. There’s going to be a re-tool when its time to find the next center regardless of whether lysell is in the pipeline or not. Not to mention, if this is done for chychrun, it’s not like he’s a rental. The bruins could have one of, if not the best top pair in hockey for a decade. That alone keeps them relevant.

Bruins have more points than any other team in the east since the new year, have been even better since the end of january, and have a 14 point playoff cushion. They’re also two points behind toronto, and i think three behind tampa. They might have played last night though.
