If Lavvy Keeps Sheary on that top line though I will actually just end it all, they literally haven't connected together for a 5V5 goal since November its my 13th reason every night I see it

Caps have a strong set of forwards.

Problem remains with defense and goaltending.

A lot of firepower but their defense wont be able to protect their young goalies. I would had given them better odds with Fleury.

We're definitely a better team than we were yesterday, but our lineup is still a ways behind the other 7 playoff teams in the East. I'm glad we didn't give up more picks for anything that wouldn't move the needle that much

We are the underdogs like in 2018. I think when we are 100 percent healthy we will be fun to watch. Question what’s mojo like. I was too young to remember him on tv.

Back when he was with the Caps, he was an awesome complement to our high powered forwards. Did a lot of work on the perimeter and was a secondary facilitator of offense. He's a nice pickup right now but I can't imagine he moves the needle too much these days

Not sure why folks are concerned about our defense, we're 11th in goals against, and we just added two more defenseman in Mojo and Larsson. I know it says they play forward, but I'm not so sure they do.

This has been confusing for me as well. This team is getting overall underrated far too much for a team that’s 3-0 against Carolina this year.

Goaltending isn’t horrible neither. We got better defensively on the forward side, a need I think we needed but I wish we went for a speedy two way forward

I'm excited by the possibility of a Larsson-Eller-Sheary line, could be a good shutdown 3rd line. Johansson on the 4th line would make some sense as well, to try and replace AJF's speed with Johansson's.

I totally agree with what everyone is saying above (in recent posts). Defense is not bad this year and actually has looked stellar at times.
Regarding goaltending - Yes I get MAF has unbelievable experience, but looking at pure stats, VV has much better stats, specifically GAA and SV% (while having about 15 less games) and Sammy has similar stats to MAF.

I am glad we didn't give up picks / prospects for a player who didn't want to come to Wash

How fast is mojo. Don’t remember him playing because I was too young

Agreed - that would create two shutdown, forechecking lines. I think it will be a really nice addition to our play

Haven't watched him this year, but he is speedy. Obviously lost some with age, but speedy still. He is great on zone entries (especially on the PP). Also good on board battles, if I am remembering correctly

We need those flawless zone entries for the powerplay. Have had trouble with that. Glad that we have someone that can do that. I know that’s Kuzy s job but it hasn’t been clean. Wonder what the lines will be like tonight.

100%. Plus he will be GREAT on the 2nd PP. Really will help with zone entries and setting up shop.

I bet tonight it will be the following:
Ovi - Kuzy - Sheary
Mantha - Backy - Wilson
Mojo - Eller - Oshie
Axel - Dowd - Hathaway

Assuming Oshie Eller and Dowd can play

I don't know if Sheary is the best on the top line, but Lazy seems to like that
