Why on earth would Buffalo do that?

Why would Buffalo ever do that? That would be absolutely awful for them, they don't need your 23 yo goalie prospect, 35 yo winger, nor would a second even come close..

I'm not seeing the logic in trading a perennial 50-point defenseman on a great contract for just a 3rd. Pretty sure many teams would beat that offer.

I agree with your surprise, most likely the package is weak. Maybe Marody, Konovalov, 1st 2023, 2rd 2024 will soften your indignation?

I personally understand the trade for Tage Thompson, but I actually don't believe we should pursue him as an Oilers fan. If we didn't I wouldn't be mad, I'd certainly grow to like him, but I have a lot of faith in our young guys, especially Konovalov. I also believe we're undervaluing what Derek Ryan is to our team. That's not to say he's better than people say is, just to the Oilers he is important. For a depth forward he can play offense well and more importantly to the team he is elite on defense and the penalty kill.
I'm not saying the trade is fair, nor am I saying that Buffalo would do it, but I can see it, which is all that matters on this site.

So this player for Buffalo is part of the core of the team's future and he is untouchable, an absolutely logical answer, I understand you. This means that a player from the internal reserves of our system should appear in his place, for example, Lavoie, I consider them similar players. Lavoie is a worthy candidate.

I do not agree, this is just a two-year contract, a kind of bridge, I am a supporter of increasing wages smoothly, compared to his current contract, this is more than twice the growth, I consider this a worthy offer.

I would like to agree with you, but I said yesterday that in my opinion the second round is the ceiling. Or let's say I'd be happy to put Barrie in the package instead of Petrov on Macleod's New Jersey exchange.

I don’t see why Buffalo would move him just been too damn good gotta give credit to him.
The only trade here I’m heavily against is barrie I personally think he gets widely disrespected by the fan base unfairly. I wouldn’t even consider moving him he’s exact age and has the exact type of resume I want to surround mcdavid and Leon with. Don’t see how make the team better by removing a point producing d with a pylon just doesn’t make sense to me.

Where is the specific amount that he should earn, yes he has arbitration, but I believe that the case will not come to arbitration, yes I agree, I have stung the amount of his contract, but at the moment his legal price is 3.5 million for 2 years, I think Pulujärvi will be pleased with this proposal and the matter simply will not come to arbitration.

I agree with you, but we are strongly pressed to the ceiling, so we have to choose. Bushard is an improved copy of Barry, this is the first argument. At this stage, Bouchard is legitimately in the second pair of defense, deservedly so. I think Sisi organically looks in the first pair with Ners, Sisi is our strongest, balanced defender with a right grip, so the place in the first pair is deserved. Therefore, for Barry there is only a place in the third pair and he is there absolutely organically, but he costs 4.5 million for a player in the third pair, which is an unforgivable lot for a team that has every cent in the account. If Barry had a contract of 2 million, he would not have a price. And then Gudbresson enters the market this summer, I think he will fit into our third pair, like a glove, if it is possible to take him, we need to take him, we need such an experienced, large and militant uncle. This guy will be very useful to us in the playoffs.

Tage Thompson is playing at a 37 goal pace….in buffalo.

The hagel package is what it would take.

In principle, I could offer such a package, more or less it is acceptable to me.
Marody
Petrov
2023 1st round pick (TBL) [Conditional]*
2024 1st round pick (TBL) [Conditional]**
*Conditions: Top 10 protected
**Conditions: Top 10 protected

But most likely I will refrain, because in our system there is such a person as Lavoie and potentially he is able to become such a player. I think next season Lavoie will be connected to the main team.

And yet, why 4 million, where is the figure indicated, as I understand it, if Edmonton offers less than 4 million, then other teams have the opportunity to make an offer sheet, do I understand correctly? I do not understand this mechanism for setting the amount of the contract. And then in this case, Yamamoto has a similar situation, what amount should he be offered?

That wouldn’t even work for us
The Sabres are on an upward path and not going to trade a guy they developed into a good young Center
Not being traded- not unless he’s part of a package to get Draisaitl
And i know that’s not happening either

He’s basically as untouchable as Dahlin
We aren’t gonna move him
