Boeser isn’t anywhere near Fiala’s level

Pretty sure everyone is gonna complain about the Rangers trade. If somehow we could do that we’d be able to sign Copp and could run Mika-Kreider-Vatrano, Panarin-Miller-Copp, Laf-Goodrow-Kakko, Motte-Rooney-Reaves. Probably unlikely with the cap to keep all 3 of Motte, Copp and Vatrano though. Luckily it appears Laf is developing quite nicely and starting to put up points as he gets more comfortable (seriously hoping Kakko can figure out how to put up points and not become just a reliable 3rd line defensive player). Worst case scenario someone like Othmann or Cuylle may steal a roster spot next year and we’d be okay. I’m curious to see how it turns out for us.

That Miller return is asinine without a guaranteed long-term extension.

Los Angeles doesn't want Tanner Pearson back any more than we want Jake Muzzin back. We would, however, like Erik Cernak back.

Boeser: 248 points with 117 goals in 316 games, 0.78 PPG
Fiala: 259 points with 114 goals in 403 games, 0.64 PPG

I mean they're pretty close

I'd want the Devils to jump on that if offered to them.
Realistically, Devils would have to add something more than a 3rd rd pick in 2024 to get this deal done.

Fiala: 259 points with 114 goals in 403 games, 0.64 PPG

That is one lazy comparison.
Doesn't tell anything about player values or who's the better player.

Points at 82 games at current pace:
Boeser - 50
Fiala - 76

GSVA at 82 games at current pace:
Boeser - 1.6
Fiala - 3.0

QO at contract expiry:
Boeser - 7.5m
Fiala - 5.1m

Fiala is currently blowing Boeser out of the water and will be much easier to negotiate a fair contract with.
