I'm just curious why you would want a 34 year old goalie who hasn't played in a year and is on contract for another 4 years?

Yeah! The playoffs where he single handedly carried a team who had no business being in the playoffs three wins away from a Stanley Cup mean nothing! The regular season where the team was hampered by Covid bouts and 25 games in 40 games down the stretch are more important! Not the playoffs that came after that!
