Reilly is an undervalued 2nd pair defenseman and he won't cost much. I'm personally not high on Bolduc, I think he needs a few more years in BPT. Salo should definitely be on the team next season, hes already 23

lol you were the one who brought up Tavares - the contract made sense if the leafs were able to contend the first 2-3 years, but now he's a 2nd line center being paid 11 mill. The Tavares-Nylander line has arguably been the worst leafs line this season

Let’s not forget Reilly was picked up as UFA before Ottawa flipped him. In my mind it’s worth taking a flyer on someone like Zboril even though it hasn’t worked out in Boston. Worst case you waive him.

jfresh is much Better than Dom, his cards put a lot of emphasis on finishing. So theyre not perfect - Hockeyviz and Evolving Hockey are the two best analytics platforms.

Bolduc was much better before the injury. At the end of the day I think Isles need to find their own version of Mike Reilly in free agency.

I agree but I see so many people using JFresh. I think the problem with those cards is when you put it all together it gives you the idea that you have the full picture. You don’t though. You need to rely on multiple models, you have to see how a guy skates and you have to see their bad plays so you can determine if they have an issue with decision making or if it’s fixable.

But at one point Mike Reilly was that “worse defenseman” in free agency. I mean Oliver Klyington passed through waives last year. There are other options that should be explored before you settle on a Mike Reilly trade:

Mike Reilly was really good in Ottawa, their GM was dumb for trading him. I'm not opposed to finding another Mike Reilly, but they are not easy to find and why not give up a mid rd draft pick for a 2nd pair LD on a great contract who also happens to be one of the best puck movers in the NHL

Yeah Foudy is a great skater for sure, I wouldn't mind him on the 4th line with Cizikas and Clutter, I think Bemstrom can be a 30 goal two way winger yet hes on the 4th line. Elite two way impact though.

Yeah but they probably match Bemstrom. Foudy is in the AHL.

The OP proposed a trade sending a cooked defenseman to the isles, which is why im commenting. I can care less about Muzzin, im just saying he's old and slow, still has two years left at 6 mill per. If he was on the isles Im sure you'd call out Lou for the contract. Hypocritical IMO
