The Rangers trade is the only one I would consider.

If the Bruins wanted to do that they'd have done it when they could have used Miller for this playoffs and DeBrusk's value wasn't as high as it is now

I wouldn’t do Laine straight up for Miller. No.

That’s a sketchy take. If you can re-sign Miller, then you take that deal every day of the week. Laine may be younger but he’s a 1 dimensional player whereas Miller is better at just about everything else other than goals

But…he also is more likely to regress due to his age. Miller would likely want an 7 year contract and that take to age 37. Meaning you are probably only going to get 3 seasons or so before regression makes that contract bad. The Jackets are going to be a team wanting a longer window of winning. Just doesn’t make sense.

You do realize, that VAN not trading Miller this year greatly lowers his value heading into next year, right?

Moving him at the TDL means a team would get Miller for 2 playoff runs. Now he’s only guaranteed for one playoff run, greatly reducing his value in a trade

Rangers wouldn’t give Schneider at the tdl, now his value is even higher and millers value decreased after the deadline.
