You know what, as solid as Kerfoot is, I think I would maybe, just maybe, consider that trade. Debrincat isn’t half bad

also clears cap, kicks off the true rebuild with Toews and Kane also likely being on the block. Kerfoot is a smart player and leader, Chicagos younger players could benefit incredibly well from him

Imagine thinking Sandin or Lilegren sign FIVE year bridge deals or that Kerfoot gets you DeBrincat.

Maybe if you fast forward like 15 years a trade of 42 y/o Kerfoot for 38 y/o DeBrincat makes sense lol

Alex DeBrincat is tied for 38th in the League in scoring, and plays for an awful team.

Kerfoot is tied for 99th in the League in scoring, and plays for a playoff team. There's a reason he gets 75% of the time on ice that DeBrincat gets.

Chicago counters with Knies, Hirvonen, Robertson, and your next three firsts in exchange for Dominik Kubalik.

Wait, you were serious about this? I thought it was just one of those joke posts.

Ya, add two firsts and a top prospect and you might be close.

def agree of the Debrincat point but the leafs fans have legit been bullying him everytime he's on the ice I could for sure see him wanting to play in a smaller market with better tax incentives
