I like Kirby Dach but like Thompson he needs to hit the weights and he's going to take a while to develop - I'd offer Chicago the Vegas and Fla 1sts for the two Dach brothers

What do you all think of the trade above?
Nadeau, Olivier for Dach, Colton seems to be about fair.
It appears Jeremiah Crowe pulled another rabbit out of the hat with the fourth round pick of Nadeau.
Ever since he joined the discussions at the draft table in 2020 the players drafted have been out standing.
I would think 2023 2nd round pick (BUF) + 2023 5th round pick (BUF) + 2024 7th round pick (BUF) for Kubalik, Dominik is also fair.
Samuelsson, Mattias for Dach, Kirby is a tough one. While getting a recent 3rd OA pick is enticing and Buffalo has LHD depth, Samuelsson defensive skills are the best on the team.
I think the talent exchange is fair, but Buffalo has nine forwards who appear to be equal to Kirby and Dominik, I think it is an easy pass for Buffalo.

I would definitely do that trade.
Circling back to Jeremiah Crowe, he has been a magician.
Plucking Quinn and passing on Rossi was unexpected while moving up to get Peterka in the second round were pure genius moves.
Power could prove to be better than Dahlin, Bloom and Nadeau taken 95th and 97th last year, are the top goal scorers for their OHL teams.
Bloom went from 6 goals to 30 and Nadeau from 13 to 34.
Rosen needs to bulk up if he is going to compete in the NHL.

EDIT
While Murray blundered his way through the drafts passing on Draisaitl to take Reinhart and Sergachev to take Nylander, Botterill at least added solid defensemen along with Casey and Dylan, Crowe's selections have me really pumped up.

I like buying draft publications before the draft and those 2 picks you mentioned that Murray screwed up would have been my picks. Murray wanted to get bigger and faster which didn't describe Reinhart and that's no offense to Sam. Murray depleted the D and then drafts a forward in a draft that was extra deep in D-men. SMFH

I think management is building from the back on out. They have 3 goalie prospects in UPL, Portillo and Levi...hopefully one takes charge. We have 4 good to excellent young D in Dahlin, Power, Samuelsson and Jokiharju. Mattering what Johnson does, if he goes back to school then I trade his rights, if Adams goes after Gibson in the summer I think Portillo would be used in the trade, forgot where I read it but I think Adams was frustrated that Portillo didn't sign.
Only way I see Adams trading any of the forward prospects he has drafted in the last 2 years is if he didn't like how they progressed from when they were drafted...Adams has patience compared to prior GM's that were here.

Can tell you Adams and Portillo group are meeting again soon to see what the situation is, Adams wasn't happy.

I don't think Adams is the guy we see in front of the camera...boyish looks, always smiling and mild mannered...behind the scenes I don't think he takes to much crap.
Portillo not signing I think screwed up his planning

I agree, he wanted to keep him and Levi a year apart in the system. Levi is a done deal, he just wants to have that chance again after missing his 1st year with a broken rib.

Power is gonna be a F@cking beast. If Jiricek was to fall to us and Johnson would make a decision. Could have the best young D in the league in 2yrs

I like buying draft publications before the draft and those 2 picks you mentioned that Murray screwed up would have been my picks. What do we know? We do not see the players. My son and I went to the All American Prospect game and we thought Luke Kunin was outstanding, but could not find ONE WORD about him, he was selected 15th OA in the 2016 draft. I say Murray buggered as the very next GM took Draisaitl and Sergachev, both proved to be much better selections. If they were passed over for three or even two rounds, my assessment of Murray would be different. If I wanted to be nasty, I could include DeBrincat who was taken one round after the pick Murray traded away to move up to get Asplund, but I wont as many GM's missed on him. Murray wanted to get bigger and faster which didn't describe Reinhart LOL and that's no offense to Sam. Murray depleted the D and then drafts a forward in a draft that was extra deep in D-men. SMFH OMW, I completely agree here

It appears Kim and Terry have allowed him to build through the draft.
Jeramiah Crowe sat at the draft table for the first time in 2020, IMO that is all the evidence I need to presume he is the architect behind the selections.
Listen to the first 15 seconds: https://www.nhl.com/sabres/video/post-draft-jeremiah-crowe/t-277437090/c-6799024 "this first draft"
Before Karmanos joined the team, Adams was bumbling his way through his first 6 months as GM and other GM's knew they could take advantage of him.
He allowed Larsson to walk and made terrible TDL deals.
The free agents he signed the first year were terrible, for the Sabres and Rochester who missed the playoffs for the first time in three year.
After Jason becomes "Associate Manager" the returns from the trades became great.

I have a different view of Adams than most.
I guess I will give him credit for recognizing his short comings by hiring Karmanos and getting Crowe to the draft table.
@BUFF36
Bottom line, I am really excited as I said above. 14-8-3 Since March first says it all.

Stranger things have happened but I think we've played our way out of either RD. Guess we have to take the bad with the good.

I think Adams came into a **** show. To have to fire 3/4 of your hockey department the day your hired. Adams is growing like the team and has put together a pretty good FO team with him. I think this off-season shows what kind of GM we have.
