Doesn't make sense, and isn't really the type of value we would want.

Trade should be Barron + Dvorak for Miller, if he sign an extension with MTL. Can't see MTL adding a 1st, or taking Myers contract.

Vancouver gets a needed RHD top prospect and a middle 6 C, MTL gets a top 6 C. Habs draft Nemec to get another RHD top prospect.

Barron + 1st + Dvorak. Barron and Dvorak alone aren't enough to get Miller

If you want that 1st, you're gonna have to replace Dvorak with Armia.

That's fine. Btw, what's going on with Armia? He seems to be having a down year, or did Burgerman just overpay him?

Armia is a good 3rd line, 6'4 220, 15 goals big RW, very good at puck possession. Any team needing size and depth should consider adding him.

I think he's a bit overpaid, but not "cap dump" overpaid. I always thought he's as good as Lehkonen, with different strenghts.

MTL just need to clear cap space to add a top 6 salary with Miller. That's why one of Hoffman, Dvorak or Armia would need to go.

IMO, Miller doesn't make sense right now. We are not in a position to give up young assets and Vancouver isn't in a position where they should be moving a top 6 player. Maybe after next season we can go after Miller in FA but giving up assets does not make sense at this time.

He is clearly having a down year but IMO he is a solid 3rd liner
But yes, he is a little bit overpaid even if he comes back to normal (15ish goals)

Whats up with this Miller to Montreal stuff? Montreal should be rebuiding, and I haven't really seen an offer for the Canucks that they would accept

Montreal is probably heading towards a rebuild, therefore Miller makes no sense.
