Can't see Detroit moving Veleno unless another young center is coming in. He is our only NHL ready center prospect at this point.

That Leafs trade is... kind of perfect for both sides. In a perfect world I think Nashville would've already started rebuilding but with Duchene and Johansen's contracts plus Josi playing out of his mind, they're kind of forced to try to stay in contention. And the Leafs get cost controlled players to fit under the cap. I think it's perfect.

Yeah no thanks to that Toronto trade. Not a fan of trading Robertson and Niemela. A Nashville-Nylander trade makes sense; but it makes more sense if it’s just Nylander for something around Tomasino ++.

I like the Marchment signing, but feels a bit high. Either bring down term or $$.

Can’t see DET taking that, but I’d bite.

Too much for NSH to give up— and I don’t see Nylander re-signing in a small market like Nashville, so I’m not too interested there. There are other pieces, but I don’t see NSH moving out Tomasino or Jeannot here. Tolvanen and the 1st, maybe.

Too much for Donskoi- would rather just sign a guy for 1 year or promote from within and keep the picks.

Leafs easily accept, I don't like giving up Niemela but it has to be added to get a guy like Jeannot

Would love to have Marchment in NSH. He's the kind of player John Hynes loves.

Even with a cheap contract like that, there isn't room for another LD like DeKeyser in Nashville or Milwaukee.

Trading for Donskoi doesn't seem necessary either - the Preds aren't hurting for bottom six forwards.

If NSH can get anything for Myers without taking a worse contract back, I'm all for it.

I'd pass on the Nylander trade. He'd be nice to have, but NSH is giving up way too much for a couple years of him. The Preds have a lot of young wingers coming up. Instead of giving up all this, it makes more sense to sign a UFA like Giroux or someone for a year or two, until some of Tomasino, Jeannot, Tolvanen, L'Heureux, Evangelista, etc are ready for top six minutes. i wouldn't mind adding Niemelä to the prospect pool, but not if it means giving up Tomasino, Jeannot, or a 1st. I don't have much faith in Robertson becoming an impact player in the NHL, so he doesn't add a lot of value here for me.

I like the thought process on the on the on the Detroit trade but Myers is an RHD and Detroit has Seider, Hronek and Lindstrom (who actually makes good 3rd pair defenseman).

Insanely hard pass from Detroit. Myers is a cap dump at this stage.

Detroit needs LHD not RHD, So we're not trading our 3C in Veleno for a RHD we don't need.
