Love all of these trades for the Hawks. I don't think you'll get a first for Strome and I doubt the Sens are giving up JBD. Other than that they're decently realistic and sets you up for the future well

Not a single team in the league would pay that much for 1 year of an elder Kane. even with an extension the Sabres pass

Pay that much? A 9th overall pick, 2nd liner, 2 3rd liners and a bottom pairing dman is too much lol? What would you pay for Kane with an extension?

The Dallas trade makes sense, 2 cap dumps and Dallas gets a 2nd back

Vancouver needs a right shot center and is looking to add picks and shed cap. This trade contradicts all those goals and as such has the same likelihood of occurring as finding an iceberg in the Sahara desert.

Kane is turning 34, theres not many miles left on him. even with extension, there's no guarantee he doesn't just fall apart.
Mittelstadt, Casey
Rosén, Isak
2022 1st round pick (FLA)
maybe another 1st

Tell me you're a delusional sabres fan that can't accept that the reason your team still sucks is cause all you're players aren't as good as you think.

Sounds like you’re a delusional leafs fan who can’t wrap his mind around why his team continually gets their asses handed to them by a team that hasn’t made the playoffs in a decade, but has still won a playoff series more recently than his own. I’ll take my slightly rose tinted glasses of optimism over your perennial groundhog day of first round exits.

Trading for a 34-year-old star player fast approaching the back nine of his career isn’t exactly a smart move for a team looking to build more than a single playoff appearance. Paying a top 10 draft choice alone for that player and his $10 million salary would be pretty stupid, never mind throwing in a bunch of extra assets. Trading for Kane is such a great idea why don’t the Leafs add him to their cadre of overpaid Star players?

Yeah I'm so jealous of your poverty franchise and dogs hit city, you gotta pay the NY tax rate without getting any of the benefits. Then you have to watch the sabres on top of that? HA brutal, you can have those 3 wins I know beating the Leafs is the biggest achievement the Sabres have had in their embarrassment of a franchise.

Okay but he's still an elite player and with the way he plays likely will be for the next 3-4 years yet you won't give up some borderline nhl players like Asplund and Mittlebust?

So trading for a 34 year old is the answer? Hasnt Toronto learned yet that front loading your team with 10 million players doesnt work?

4th in the league says otherwise, take some notes you might finish in the top 20 for once

Asplund is the Sabres best defensive forward and coming into his own as one of the best in the league, he and Krebs shutdown Matthews completely in the 3 meetings Buffalo had Krebs for, Buffalo went 3-0 in those games. Players have more value than goals, points, and cap hit, thats why Analytics are so popular. I dont like Mittlestadt, so youre preaching to the choir

Too bad its not the 1990s now is it? What have the Sabres done since 2011 exactly?

Being the best defensive forward on the Sabres is the equivalent to having the cleanest drinking water in Flint. Holds no weight when there's no competition for Asplund.

Buffalo declines the Kane deal and Chicago declines the Colorado deal.

Buffalo isn’t trading the 9th overall plus for 1 year of Kane. If we want him we’ll just make an offer for him as a UFA. Samuelsson is pretty much untouchable at this time due to his combination of defensive play and physicality being attributes we have little of. He’s hit it off massively with Dahlin since being put together thus making zero sense to deal him.

The Sabres have been a better franchise than Toronto since The Sabres came into existence. The Leafs have literally never won a 3rd round in the playoffs; not to mention a Cup Final since the league expanded to more than 6 teams. Yes the Sabres have missed the playoffs 11 years straight but the Leafs have no more series wins in that time. Congrats, the Leafs got to play up to 2 weeks extra before joining the Sabres on the golf course. You can dominate the regular season all you like; it’s meaningless without playoff success. So I’d suggest pulling off your Leaf colored glasses and look around you because you’ve been barely more successful than the Sabres since 2010 in playoff hockey.
