Ryan Ellis, from the day he was drafted, was my favorite Predator - which is saying something, since they became my #2 team due to enjoying watching their blueline play. I loved The Human Rocket Ship, for years upon years. He was great and amazing and fun, and when he started to become unappreciated in Nashville, I badly wanted him in Columbus and would come up with all sorts of scenarios to try to get him here. But as the new decade came along he began to seriously decline, and eventually I had to accept that Father Time truly is unbeaten. I loved him dearly and I wish him the best, and I only regret that I have yet to get to see him in union blue.

I say this so you understand what it means when I say that I would not find this deal acceptable for that 2010s version of him. That is an egregious ripoff the likes of which should earn you nothing but shame and scorn.
