There is probably no chance Winnipeg trades Scheifele for an LD they don't need that has a bad contract and a struggling, low end left shot center they don't need.

Not sure how to feel about that Wings trade. Value seems ok but doubt Wings will be targeting Jiricek/Nemec so move up to 5 doesn't seem to make much sense for them unless they're worried Columbus or Ottawa is gonna take the guy they want. Good proposal tho

Jets Decline
Konecny would have to be included
Provorov and Frost aren’t needed in WPG

Maybe something around Scheifele +#14 for Konecny + #5…with other adds where needed.
Jets could select Jiricek at #5

Sabres decline, all he would be doing is blocking spots right now

I wouldn't trade Bertuzzi for Konecny just to move up 3 spots. Stats aside, I feel like it would be much too disruptive to the Wings team locker room to justify. The Wings will get a pretty good player at the 5 or 8 pick. Detroit just keeps Bertuzzi and the 8 pick.

Take Zamula out of the trade and switch the 3rd to go to Philly…

Trading back 4 spots in this draft is kinda a big that close up. Most likely 1-3 are Wright, Cooley and Nemec… 4-5 could be Slafkovsky and Savoie, 6-7 would be Jiricek and Kemell. So the pool kinda gets a bit shallower still good players but the difference in them is kinda big imo

Lambert should be there at 9,
9OA and the Fla 1st for 5...works out value wise by the draft chart
Wonder if the Sabres would entertain that? Would the Flyers if Lambert was their target?

I think it’s almost certain Nemec and Jiricek are gone by 8, that aside, Jets would rather take TK and Wings could use Provorov… swap them in the deals and I think everyone is a bit happier. Wings get a top 4 D and can pick a forward to replace Burt… maybe Slafkovsky slips to 4?

Sabres decline

Maybe if u paid us to take JVR, but even then I’d say it’s doubtful

He wouldn't because there wouldn't be any need for him to play at all. And that's would be reason why Sabres decline. GMKA isn't type of the guy, who would trade for JVR and then trade him further away with another retention on his salary.

That’s cool
I’m assuming he’ll spend some time in Rochester though

Probably, is this a precursor to Yurov or Ivan M

It’s possible, but i don’t see why it would be necessarily
We’d still draft a Russian if we thought he was the best player regardless of whether or not Kissakov signed this summer

People try too hard to connect the dots imo

Well that's not what that meant, I understand they still would. But always nice to have someone to help integrate. Actually not what the post was about at all.

Sorry if i misunderstood
But it seemed like u saying we signed Kissakov bc we were gonna draft a Russian
We obviously could, but idk that the signing is directly related to who we are gonna pick in the draft

I’m holding out hope that Jiricek somehow falls to us

No, I don't think it's totally related, but Rochester will be hurting next year prospects wise, Kisakov fills a need there and can also help if Yurov or Ivam M is on there board. It helps in 2 different ways.
Agree with Jiricek, he's actually my number 1 guy on my board, well other than Wright or Slafkovsky, but really never thought we had a shot at them.

I think we drafted 4 Russians last year
So he won’t be “alone” for long either way
