Chuck goes to his stomping grounds

Created by: mulletmario7
Team: 2022-23 Philadelphia Flyers
Initial Creation Date: May 13, 2022

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Explanation:

Wild: Wild need to clear cap space and Dumba is a UFA after this season. I honestly don't know his value that well but I feel this is a solid offer. Frost could excel in Minnesota if he is between good players.

Arizona: they get a prospect who is near NHL ready for taking JVR (who scored 24 goals this year and still has some in the tank)

Red wings: Again I don't know Zedina's value but I think he could use a change of scenery. There could be a case to be made for a top 10 protected 2023 1st going back to Philly instead of the second but it's Stevie Y we are dealing with so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt

Jets: This one might be hard to do. I think TK and Lindblom could do good on the jets and add to their depth. Jets also get a young prospect and a pick. If this is either schiefle or Dubois coming back to the flyers I'm good with it.

Flyers: I think flyers sign Trotz and back up the truck to get him. They draft Savoie at 5.

I like Provy but with Edvinsson, Johansson and Wallinder on the way there's no real need to do this for Detroit. Plus I think Philly says no.

Coming from a flyers fans perspective, I know what it's like envisioning your future defense. I thought we would get an incredible top 4 of Morin, Ghost, Sanheim and Provy and alas we didn't. I don't think there is ever anything wrong with adding proven talent as it takes the weight off the younger guys

I'm leaning accept on the Jets deal. The only hesitation is what happens with the depth up the middle. If Stastny re-signs, then I say yes. If he doesn't than the Jets need to figure out the 2C role. Perfetti played the wing at the WJHC, and with the Jets, so the question of him playing C in the NHL is up in the air. Konecny is a right shot who can play both wings, which makes him a valuable NHL piece coming back.

That's a valid point. I guess I really trust Yzerman's drafting ability. It's a fair offer.

Counter argument: This is a steal for the Wings. 2 x 2nds that will most likely be late, and a then 23 year old who has had minimal impact? Sign me up. Worst case Zadina turns into a 25 goal guy for Philly, but you guys get a bonified top pairing LD who suffered playing with guys like Attard and Risto this year. Fire him on there with Seider and they probably end up being one of the top pairings in the NHL.

But, maybe I'm too high on Provorov...IMO though, he's still excellent.

It's a steal for Detroit. A very fair offer. But can you really see Philly trading Provy without getting a good young D back?

The Jets would more than likely want you to drop Lindblom and make the 2nd a 1st, for them to consider.

I mean look at the return Anaheim got for Lindholm. I think many would argue provy is better than Lindholm as he can play big minutes and all situations (even if he isn't great on PP)

I thought about hronik coming back too I this deal but wasn't sure how valued he is in Detroit. A dman of some sort on the way back would make sense

You'd get Zadina way before Hronek a young RHD and with his production he is the most popular Red Wing in ACGMs right now. RHDs are in demand and he would be expensive.
