Offer sheet for Liljegren and Sandin as both get raises and no compensation is due. That's how bad your contracts for them are.

And congratulations you just lost Bunting next year in free agency because you didn't account for his cap space and raise by signing Manson and Marchment.

Thank you for just buying out Mrazek instead of trying to offload him somewhere.

I think you're undervaluing Kampf & Holl in those deals. They're not studs, but I think you can easily get a 3rd for both.

Preds fans seem to love Tomasino but I could see them making that sacrifice if Forsberg walks and they want a top line forward.

I think Gudbranson is unnecessary as a signing - take his $1.9M and split it between higher AAV on the bridge deals for Liljegren & Sandin & about $750K for a league minimum 7th D.

I'm going to give you a crazy hot take here, though - skip signing Marchment, and change your target on Minnesota to Fiala. I think the Wild would put a higher value on Hartman because he's a productive player on a very low AAV - he might be unmovable for them with the cap penalties coming up. But that type of package could get you Fiala, and if you subtract that $3.5M you're giving Marchment, plus the $1.7M you're giving Hartman here, and the $4.3M you have in cap space...well, to my eyes, there's enough to sign Fiala to ~$8M AAV to play that top line minutes and then maybe you keep an affordable winger like Kampf to play the 3rd line, or you let Dubas try and find the next Michael Bunting for ~$1M.

Jackets decline. Robinson is a great 4th liner. We need size and speed and Robinson is one of few forwards with both

Hot Take: You lost to a really good team and you guys should keep most of the core intact. Minus a few pieces, this team is still going to be really good next year. This isn't like last year where all of us thought it was Leafs in 5. This isn't a bubble year like the year before that with CBJ. You guys lost to another team that ended the season with 100 + points that added crazy depth in Hagel and Paul that also just knows how to win the big games, hence the two time SC champion moniker.

People on here are overrating Lil and Sandin. They have upside but are still marginal d men that were on the outside of their top 6.

You're not wrong. But it's been 6 years. We'll see what they do

Forsberg walking is why I thought of Nash. I like Gudbransen, Marchment and Hartman cus they bring a bit of an element they dont have. Fiala is good but another smaller guy

It would be foolish to exchange at least three years of our 25-year-old #3LW for one year of Alex Kerfoot, who's probably going to be twice as expensive.
