What is Vasys Trade value

Description
I know this would never happen, but what would a team have to give up for Tampa fans to feel okay about a trade?

In my opinion, he is the most valuable player in the league. Even more than McMuffin.

Seems like an overpay to me, but I am obviously biased.

If this imaginary trade happened, would the caps be better or worse off?

Would tampa be better or worse off?

Whoever wins the lottery next season has a chance to trade for him.

It's actually two firsts, two seconds, Wilson, Samsonov, and Alexeyev - not 5 firsts and 2 seconds. Samsonov was a first...7 years ago, and Alexeyev, four years ago - that doesn't mean they have first rounder value.

He's untouchable to the point even if he Bolts are stuck in the worst of the worst cap hell situation, Kucherov or even Hedman will get traded before Vasilevskyi.
He's 1 of 2 actives goalies that has shown who can carry his team in the playoffs without much support ,but with Carey Price's current state, he's pretty much the only one who can do it right now and for the foreseeable future. (maybe Shesterkin can join this list)

Yeah, Bedard would get my attention. But the timing wouldn't be right.

I don't think just adding a bunch of lower assets even quantifies how valuable Vasy is to us. When he's on, his $9.5m is more valuable than any other teams entire $81.5m.

Something Like Bedard, three firsts, and another player?

Would you guys take the trade above with Ovi added?

Tampa would still lose this trade. This makes both worse now and likely in the future as well (rare chance those firsts get them a great player similar to Vasilevskiy).

Players of Vasilevskiys value have to have a return of a player similar to his skill set or atleast the potential to be similar for the trade to benifit both teams.

Trading Vasy, for or away, just doesn't make sense for either party because of the sheer value involved. Like it'd have to at least include a Bedard type future (or a McDavid type), and another quality goalie replacement (Samsonov isn't it).

If I was a team, I'd rather have Bedard and someone who's a top 5-10 goalie than empty the bank on just Vasy.

Agreed, and i think its safe to put Shesterkin on that list now.

I don't man, offense could get a massive upgrade but who's going to replace him? He's a rare breed.
