Kadri to the bruins

Description
Assuming Bergeron retires or signs else where (doubtful), I think Kadri would be a good fit for the bruins. Obviously the history makes this unlikely but it would make for a good storyline for next year.

Also is the Zadina/ debrusk trade close in value?

Boston isn't going to do this! They can get more for DeBrisk maybe not from the Wings but someone will give them more. If they even want to trade him anymore.

Kadri will be 32 when next season starts. I'll be surprised if he gets 7 years. 4 or 5 likely. But weird things happen in Silly Season.

Kadri would be a god in boston. As long as he's wearing their sweater he'll get cheered. The bad blood thing isnt an issue. Detroit would have to up that 4th to a 2nd then maybe.

yea i think 3-4 years is good for him but you honestly never know. He's coming off a career year, i'm sure some GM would offer him a max term deal, then regret it in a few years.

That's why your suggestion isn't impossible. Most GM's know they won't be the GM in 7-8 years from now. Like Kenny Holland in Edmonton. If he signs Evander Kane for 5-6 years then Oilers fans will complain. But Kenny doesn't care. He's going to Ride McDavid and Draisaitl like Jenna Jameson. Try to win the Cup.

yea, Kane will regain his former $6 million pay check his previous contract had paid him. And Holland is the man to do that.

That Detroit trade is abysmal for boston.

For what its worth, bergeron said he’s not considering playing elsewhere.

From the players perspective, he’ll take the most money. From the teams perspective, they’ll go after the best player.

Idk if I was Justin Faulk and the Blues were to sign Kadri I would be pissed. I’m sure Debrusk would have something to say too.

That stuff happens all the time. Bruins traded for Johansson after marchand tried to decapitate him. Panthers signed acciari after he beat the wheels off weegar. The league would cease to operate if GMs considered stuff like that.
