CBJ accepts. But CAR needs better backup goaltending.

Signing trocheck doesn’t make sense in this scenario and there won’t be the money. Laine will need more money than that. Spread the trocheck money out to bring in a backup goalie and add depth

Kings are already paying 10M for their tandem. They don’t need another goalie.

I think they should sell quick, the inconsistency is not really worth the price in my opinion.

No they don’t. Texier is worth a late first on his own. Switch Necas for Jarvis and that starts the convo. Also Laine will get at least 9 million

Very doubtful CBJ accepts. They don't need a bunch of 3rd-4th line bits and pieces, they need top end talent. Nothing in this trade serves that need or even projects to serve that need. The Laine contract is also at least 1.5-2 mil lower than what he's going to get.

Quick was a big reason the Kings went to 7 games against Edmonton, I would have agreed last season but this season he was on , and he didn't have most of his defense healthy while he did it.

Campbell was far more inconsistent. Moore has been phenomenal. And Lemieux is brings the sandpaper we lack.

Yep. CBJ need lineup clarity, not more maybe pieces with potential. There just isn't room for those prospects to get the playing time to reach their full potential (or value for future trades) without squashing prospects that CBJ already has (Chinakov, Marchenko, Foudy, Bemstrom, Johnson, Sillinger and maybe this year's 2 1st rounders) assuming Texier is traded.

Laine is untouchable until he refuses to sign and even then there will be demand for someone who has the ability to score 50.

Quick is our starting goaltender and franchise icon who is in the last year of his contract and will see his sweater raised into the rafters during the 2023-2024 season. We won't be trading him, especially since he costs us $2.5 million in actual money this year. His figures for 2021-2022 weren't much different from Raanta's and not far behind Andersen's when you consider that there are subtle indications that Carolina was a superior team to the Kings this past season.

Moore was one of our three biggest pleasant surprises this season. We won't be trading him.
