That's a 25% chance he is moved, which is higher than I would've expected honestly.

Garland + Schenn for Marino + Kapanen?

A lot to lose for MTL, but I really like Marino. Both Prospects aren't making it far in the habs future lineup however

That Montreal trade is a disaster for the Penguins.

Marino is far younger, on a far better contract, and is just a better player than Petry.

Anderson's contract is terrible and has negative value and no contending team should touch it.

Seravalli has Marino pretty high on his trade bait board - I think around 11

Marino >> Petry and he has a far better contract

Zucker and Anderson are similar level players with poor contracts, but Zucker has far less term

Allen 50% retained doesn’t have much value, maybe a 2nd at best

Poulin I believe is one of Pittsburgh’s better prospects

Petry is a better player than Marino by far but Marino is younger with a better contract
Anderson is 10X more valuable than Zucker, you can’t compare what they bring on the ice
Allen is 100% worth at least a 2nd RD pick half retained

So PIT are getting a top 6 Powerforward
A #3 RHD better than Marino
An excellent back up goalie

That’s how I see it

Petry is not better than Marino. He showed signs of declining last year and is 34 (yes I know he was better under MSL)

Anderson is an overpaid middle 6 winger. He’s had 40 points once in his career

Allen 50% retained is maybe worth a 2nd, probably closer to a 3rd. His save % in 4 out of the last 5 years was between .905 and .907, he’s an average backup. Fleury and Vanacek returned a 2nd rounder, and Nedeljkovic returned a 3rd

Petry never declined, Ducharme was the worse coach. Caufield had 1 goal under him and Petry as well. Petry called out Ducharme system had no structure. Petry did four 40+ points seasons with at least 12 goals. Not because Ducharme killed that means he declined. Marino will never do that, not even close.
Anderson is more about points. I’ll say big power forward with speeds and hands/shot like he has a ****ing rare in the NHL. But he’s a north/south guy not good defensively tho
Allen at 4.35Mish was worth a 3rd + 7th, when St-Louis had to move him. Now he’s making 2.85Mish and was better than he was in St-Louis. If you watched any games of Allen this year, then you can’t understand how good he was despite the numbers. The team was bad, we finished dead last. He did great. The only thing that might hurt his value is he wasn’t healthy all year
