with how much Karlsson is making and how long his contract is, SJ is prolly gonna need to give up assets. definitely not getting a first in the bedard draft for him

Zero chance.

Colin White's buyout costs only 875k because he is under 26.

There is no way the Senators acquire Karlsson with that little salary considerations, let alone give up a 1st +.

Karlsson has major negative value because of his contract. The trade in the OP would be one of the most one sided trades of the cap era. The first and the prospect is on the wrong side.

Answer me this very simple question. If Erik Karlsson is a UFA this off season, what contract does he get? Include term, dollars, signing bonuses, and NMC/NTC.

Does someone sign him to a 5 year 11.5M cap hit deal, with 45 percent of his salary in the form of signing bonuses, and a NMC? If not, how close does he get to that contract?

I don't see Ottawa giving up a 1st plus Bernard-Docker and two solid roster players for Karlsson (who is heavily regressing and has a horrible contract)

Solid roster player is easy saying, they are both more considerate as cap dump potential. But totally agree with all the lady and gentleman up there. Prospect and pick is on the wrong side of the deal.
