Minnesota can’t afford Fiala. How will they be able to afford Nylander?

Leafs can't afford to trade for DeBrincat and Dach, each would command a King's Ransom since there is no pressure to really trade either other than perhaps DeBrincat's 9m QFO (which would be scarier for the Leafs than the Hawks) , that being said Chi can probably trade him for a made player if push comes to shove.

Leafs won't be able to sign Dach as well, and that Nylander trade is awful for the Leafs and Minn because they can't afford him.

Also, trading half of the prospects and more picks is silly. They wouldn't add a sweetener to get rid of Holl who is a serviceable rental, he gets moved for a mid to late pick. The Laughton trade is similarly as confusing.

Kefoot probably doesnt make that PHI trade work, albeit a good trade piece. Holl/ 1 of Abrueze/Voit (albeit those 2 are pretty midlevel prospects) and Steeves for Laughton probably is something theyd be more interwested in

Holl fits a hole at 3 RD for them and although all 3 of those prospects are midlevel and PHI has lots of prospects (higher end ones at that), maybe Abrueze or Steeves are slightly further into their development

Hawks decline every offer the Leafs give them for DeBrincat alone, they just don't have the assets for that trade.

Minnesota declines. Greenway was resigned to 3 years extension and fiala is being traded for a reason. Minnesota isn't going to trade pieces including player like greenway for a player who will be free agent in 1 to 2 years.
