      When I saw this was from a Habs fan I assumed the Devils trade would have been Kerfoot, Robertson, and TOR '22 first for 2nd overall.

      Pleasantly surprised that it wasn't.

      Not when the Ducks have leverage. They know that the Leafs need a goalie if Campbell leaves and have depth at forward. In essence, Nylander is much more expendable to the Leafs than Gibson is to the Ducks. As a result, his value is higher than Nylander's.

      Gibson is more valuable to the Leafs than Nylander is. Championship teams need an elite goalie, unless you're Colorado.

      The first trade is a no from the Leafs.

      I like Gibson, but goalies, even elite ones, have less trade value than ppg first line forwards. If the Leafs trade Nylander it should be for a young top 4 defenceman, top six player, and a pick, or at least two of those three pieces.

      Trade Gibson to the Sabres. The Leafs shouldn’t want him. The least of all for Nylander.

      Justin Holl very likely couldn't get a commercial spot with the Ryan Kelly, the Home Loan Expert, let alone a spot on the Blues. Blues decline.
