Bennett has been a good fit with them, don't see why they would want to move him in particular just yet

If they can't move Bob, I think Bennett is an odd man out because Lundell and Reinhart

Perhaps. If they do move Bob at 50%, I see that 5M as Knights extension and for rentals this year. Hornqvist cap covers the bulk of Barkov or Huberdeau's extension, moving Montour would help for the other. They are still going to be in a tight position but Bennett has a little more term than some other guys at a low hit. So perhaps they let him go the offseason before those extensions kick in. I do recognize they need cap to fill out their roster too but perhaps they do have more ELCs that they are confident they can use for the next couple of years after this one.

Why would Columbus want MArino and flipping all those picks? if Marino is getting moved it is likely to Vancouver. Stenlund couldn't stay in the jackets lineup which is very thin at center and you don't even have the cap space to sign him.......

That’s a Marino trade I can get behind, I think that actually works a lot better for both teams than some of the others I’ve seen floating around.

Stenlund is an AHL player at this point. Does Scranton not need centers? He's obviously not the focal point of the deal.

Columbus could very much use a RD of Marino's nature, and a swap of 1sts would work out for both teams, enabling Pitt to move up to 12 and maintaining a second first round pick for Columbus.

We seriously need a defensive RD. Marino in his years prior to this one was basically the archetype of what we're missing on the blueline, so that's a very worthwhile chance to take for us.
