Reportedly Evander Kane wants $7,000,000 per to remain in Edmonton and $8,000,000 per on the open market. He's not signing that lowball offer.

Nazem Kadri will get closer to $8,500,000 x 5-6 years give or take.

I think Nikita Zadorov get's slightly more as well.

You know what, Jensen seems like a solid defender that could definitely help the Sens this year until either JBD and/or Thomson complete their development, I'd take that deal if I was the Sens

Wtf are we paying to dump Jensen,? He was really good last year. He could get you a 3rd maybe even a 2nd. I would try to extend him. That trade is really bad.

Sammy might get you a 2nd…? Maybe slightly more to an optimistic team

Jensen trade is brutal for the Caps, why would they pay to dump a cheap D who was one half of their shutdown pairing? He's one of the best value contracts on the Caps.

The other best value contract is Sheary. A 40 point winger signed for 1.5M is worth more than a 6th.

On the other hand, the Samsonov trade is abysmal for the Habs. I could see Sammy for Allen straight up, but no way the Habs retain and add a 1st.

Oshie's the heart and soul of this team and still dominant in the playoffs. That trade's the only one where the value might be close, but he's not leaving DC.

Also, I don't think the Caps would have any interest in a reunion with Burakovsky. They know exactly how streaky he is and how little he contributes when he's not scoring. Some team's probably gonna give him a contract like that based on his inflated numbers playing with Kadri and MacKinnon, but it won't be the Caps.

I would legitimately only move Jensen in the offseason for a first. He is a better player than Zadorov and Walker.

Oshie turns 36 at the beginning of the season and although he's still a quality player, I just don't see the Kings going in that direction.

I like walker and he would be a good pickup for the caps. That doesn't mean they should be giving up assets in order to move off of the undervalued contract of there 3rd or 2nd best defenseman
