I mean he kind of is for the amount of term and dollar value but for 15th OA, that’s just outlandish

Ok I’ll bite, what are the Canucks aspirations for the 15th pick, pick there, trade up/down, for a asset?

Probably trade down into the 20s and a second round pick

Just remember the hawks offering 3 and seabrook for 9, the year dach got drafted and got turned down, just kind of interesting spot here, especially if Canucks want the 6 million to spend on ufas.

I’d rather just try and go for a top 10 pick instead of outside the top 10. If the jets could somehow get to pick #5 from Philly that would be ideal. That’s what I’d be more interested in. Philly looks to be trying to make the playoffs next year especially after the torts hiring.

Ya for sure just tough to speculate on top 10 and how to get in, thought it nice to start the conversation, kind of a bruins throw back to 15

Remember how that went for them lol?

I feel like since Philly wants to contend next year it wouldn’t be too hard to get that pick from them for an impact player. Just not sure what their exact needs are.

Canucks pass Myers isn't a cap dump, especially at that price

Ya I was hoping jets found a way to get up to 2 and the devils, but ya a trade back for Philly makes sense too. Just hoping the jets Do a little better than bruins on that one. Damn would bruins be dominant with barzal/Connor/chabot

Fair enough, got to start the negotiations somewhere, have the rangers 1st to entice a trade down, just not sure what changes the rangers pick to the Canucks at 15.

Yeah Boston really messed that one up, and yet Sweeney still has a job after all these years.

That devils pick would be amazing, because Cooley may be the perfect scheifele replacement in a few years. I just don’t know if the jets would want to give up what it would take to get that pick. IF one of Nemec/Jiricek is still there at #5 I’d be doing everything in my power to get that pick.

I would do that Isles trade for Ehlers? Swap Pageau with Beauvillier if you want a player of the same position? Scheifele is good don't get me wrong but Center is a pretty solid spot for us already

Will be interesting to see what the jets got in store, old sleepy Chevy could be in for a wild off-season

Was attempt at selling high on scheifele and hope with a move up the depth chart and improved wingers might get pageaus contributions up a little higher. Plus the 1st, with Connor and ehlers contract statuses probably not looking to move either. But could be a wild anything goes type off-season.

I don’t think Chevy will have any choice but to be active this summer. I’ve heard that the team is leaning towards a bit of a youth movement so we could see some older players shipped out.

I kind of hope for a wild draft night over trading for other teams prospects, feel a little better luck with jets drafted. Would be nice to have a quick retool and competitive quick, but the way colorado looked and possibly St. Louis giving the best challenge up until binnington went down. So possibly playing for third place In central, i wouldn’t mind a little more of a tear down than that and possibly tore right back to the studs, get aggressive in draft and try to get phillys pick or nj and get the prospective 1c immediately.

Totally agree with you. Even if the jets come back with a similar roster to last year with better coaching I don’t think they finish better than 4th in the central and will be fighting for a WC spot. Id rather see a bit of a tear down and then compete in the 2023-24 season.
