I’m sure the isles have checked in on Miller to see what it would cost, but there’s really no one the isles would have interest in moving Dobson for besides pettersson.

There’s no path to a Miller-Dobson trade, VAN could add a 1st and the isles would still decline

i dont think its that far apart. miller fits with isles window (assuming last year was a fluke and they arnt rebuilding) and lous been known to trade top dmen for below market value

It is very far a part. The isles offense runs through Dobson, young top pair RHD with elite skating ability are like unicorns in the NHL. I’d say Dobson fits with the isles window a lot better than Miller. Miller has likely peaked and Dobson is already one of the better young defenseman in the league and he’s just entering his prime.

It would take an absurd overpay to even get the isles to consider moving him. The Toews trade was awful but he was traded because Barry Trotz wanted him to get traded. It’s not even close to the same situation. If you know how Lou operates, he does not trade his own draft picks, especially ones that turn into studs.

Yeah definitely not a second rounder. Maybe the Carolina third or a fourth rounder.

Wings have no use for Pearson. He's an overpaid dime a dozen player, you'd probably have to give up a pick or take back another meh contract to trade him

Athanasiou is a lazy player VAN doesn't need him. Rutta on a 4 year deal (Poolman 2.0)? Dobson is not going anywhere either.

Friedman was just saying that Myers has positive value around the league with pro scouts. I know people here see that $6m cap hit and think Myers is worthless, but the league values him. If Myers is dealt, he's going to be traded for a higher pick and a prospect.
