Description
Thoughts on this idea? seeing a rumor that CBJ interested and Chicago are looking to trade him. Can he be a 1C? or is he just another middle 6 Center who CBJ have plenty of?

I think Dach tops out as a 2C. But he may end up being a 3C. Love his size. Hopefully he can stay healthy and put it all together.

Well the #12 OA in a weak first round draft is highly unlikely to get him

Dach's ceiling is a 1C but doubt he gets there. He would be better off as a winger IMO

Here is a question to answer your question.

Would Chicago be willing to move Dach if he was capable of being a 1C? He is young and they are rebuilding so....

Saw a tweet that says Chicago looking for 15OA or better, so maybe the 12OA could be enough depending on whos on the board there

Should have shipped him back to junior after he was drafted, I think your right with wing, and physical presence and open up a goal scoring ability and less responsibility and ice to cover.

Yeah, the problem with Dach is being so big at the time, he was dominating the juniors so not much more to get out of him there and he couldn't go to the AHL. I agree, juniors probably would have ended up better or to play in the NHL but in a more limited role with some pressbox time. Our former coach and GM thought the Hawks were competitive so he was pushed too far.

Honestly, I think it would be enough to get it done. I really think Dach could pop any time now. In which case, CHI will probably regret it at least a little bit. But I personally think the 12OA, even in this draft, is enough to let him go and refocus on a new prospect. There are plenty of options in that range that I think are very interesting.

Dach will likely be more middle 6 that Columbus has plenty of, I’d consider a Dach for Texier trade or a Dach for Bemstrom and Foudy trade, but I wouldn’t give up a top 15 pick for him.

Yeah feel like CBJ would NEED a player to go back to CHI cause they already have way too many already. Maybe 2022 2nd + foudy/bemstrom

But I’d be very much more interested in a Dach+Murphy for 12, Texier, Bean or something like that. I think Murphy would be a better fit for Columbus then Chychrun is.

Seems on par with what's being reported. Could see a few small pieces being swapped too

Columbus should just keep their picks and keep building from within, maybe try to grab a guy or two in free agency if they can.

Chicago at 7? Savoie the next point?
