Not necessarily. I’d sub Sharangovich in the package if need be but an unprotected 23 1st with Foote, Boqvist and Wood/Shar would peak interests imo. SJS needs to recoup their prospect pool & add some decent young talent to this roster

Just wait until next summer and sign him.

Not if NJ resigns him. I get it though, save the assets and wait until FA. But if Fitz wants to make a push now, and NJ has enough prospects and don’t need any more high draft picks. Then why not. NJ can’t keep saying “another year to see what our young guys can do.” At some point you have to become competitive and take the next step so guys like Hughes, Bratt, Hischier etc learn how to win and take it to the next level

I'm just tired of people trading Seattle their cap dumps for Seattle's picks, it's just repetitive at this point. And you only end up saving 500k by buying him out...

The fact that the devils can legitimately be a bottom 10 team this year again means the 2023 1st should quite honestly be untouchable

Without any other moves.. bottom 10. With the addition of a pure top 6 guy, playoff bubble. Imo

Can't see the Sharks being interested in that. Holtz and an unprotected 1st in 2023 would do it, but that doesn't help elevate NJD to the next level.
