Every team not named Toronto rejects those trades.

Los Angeles cap figures:

Current cap space: $2,338,333, but that includes 2 kids who go back to Ontario when Doughty and Walker are healthy
Add'l cap space: $1,582,500 (cap hits of Jordan Spence and Jacob Moverare, referred to above)
Actual cap space: $3,920,833
Mikey Anderson: $2.5 million or thereabouts
Sean Durzi: $1.5 million or thereabouts
Left over: Zero
Difference between Muzzin's cap hit and Kaliyev's: more than $4 million, so we don't even have to discuss how absurd thinking that we would trade Kaliyev for Muzzin is.

Doesnt really matter. The point is Muzzin will be moved somewhere, people act like hes chopped liver. Yes hes slow but hes still an effective physical top 4 D. He did have trouble staying healthy this year but to suggest the leafs wont be able to move an effective top 4 D man is absurd. Maybe he doesnt go to LA but the Leafs likely need cap space to improve the top 6 and its likely gonna be Muzz moving.

I'm sure if Toronto had the open market available to them, they could move Muzzin and get an asset back for him. However, Muzzin has a full NTC, and is fully in control over if and where he gets traded. GMs know this, and aren't going to be willing to give up assets for him.

Max Pacioretty is a quality hockey player. However, Vegas had cap issues and Patches had a NTC (less restrictive than Muzzin's FYI), and they had to give him away for literally nothing. I suspect if Muzzin is moved, it will be a situation comparable to his. Muzzin in exchange for future considerations.

You seem to be missing the full NTC that Muzzin currently has that is going to make the Leafs moving him much more difficult. Muzzin was born about 90 minutes away from Toronto, so presumably the allure of playing for his hometown team (and a legit Cup contender, for what it's worth) is going to keep him in Toronto for at least one more year.

Muzzin is not worth Kaliyev even if he didnt have a trade clause. Its very far off base and it seems like youre trolling with that proposal.
Would you trade Knies for Edler?
Plus Kaliyev has shown more in the NHL than Knies and Edler had better numbers than Muzzin last year so its not even that good of an analogy but similar enough.

lol comparing Kaliyev and Knies is funny. I would glady take Grundstrom instead, I dont need any value back. Kaliyev is not very good.

You have no clue what youre talking about. Nobody likes leaf fans because of stuff like this. Completely out to lunch about the rest of the the league and think you have gold.
Grundstrom is not worth even half of what Kaliyev is worth. Knies is worth a lot less than Kaliyev as well.
