The usual impractical 21 man roster. Does Sandin sign for so little? Does Niederreiter sign for just 3m?

Calgary declines to pay for Holl

Seattle will wait for Kerfoot to be on waivers or might accept him @50% in exchange for future considerations

Welcome to the Big Squeeze

Good points......It does seem like the current CAP System is really squeezing down the player's salaries.

. Maybe Dubas should have thought on how complete a reasonable roster, but he took 4.7m Murray for no apparent reason. Signing a 30 year old 3rd/4th winger to 2.1m for four years.
Yes some players salaries are squeezed, but no excuse for the Leafs management overpaying for some players.....including at the time Marner and Matthews.

I'm feeling a Sonny Milano type signing and or trading Kerfoot to ARZ for Fischer.

I actually think Murray is going to bounce back playing behind a good team and having the Leafs sports medicine team behind him to keep him healthy.....He also is going to be more comfortable playing for Dubas, Keefe and Leafs Goalie Coach who believe in him........Backstopping a team to 2 Stanley Cups at a young age gives him a money goalie reputation which is going to give confidence to the Leafs players for the playoffs.

I could care less what the Toronto Media is saying about Murray.........The reality is that Campbell and Anderson did not get the job done when it mattered in the playoffs.

Paying Jarnkrok $2,100,000 to be a checking line winger was cheap compared to what the Canucks paid Mikheyev who was another soft player who disappeared in the playoffs.

Matthews and Marner are essentially both 1rst line allstar players in the National Hockey League and I do not care if they were overpaid in the first years of their contracts because they are worth every dime they are being paid now.

If you actually analyze each move that Dubas has made this offseason objectively without listening to the Toronto Media to bias you.......you would realize that they are absolutely brilliant when you see how the entire puzzle is being finished and setting the stage for his next moves this offseaon to improve the Leafs.

You need to look at the Leafs offseason moves from an objective set of eyes and stop listening to the Toronto media which is out to lunch interms of their ability to objectively assess the Leafs.

I see we are trolling again. Toronto is not winning a cup with that roster. And if Nino was signing that contract, he would have already been re-signed by the Canes.

Muh huh. And what if I hadn't heard a single word uttered by the Toronto media on the subject?

There not having Sandin on the right-side, in limited play last season he was beaten to the outside continuously. Keefe was not optimistic about trying him there again.
