The Ducks lose every single one of those trades, all we need to do to hit the floor is sign our RFAs (apporx 4M) then sign a few FAs around a 2-3M AAV (Will Butcher, Subban, DeHaan, Kempny, Rodrigues, Chaisson, Donato, etc)

Verbeek said he would prefer to go the FA route to fill out the roster

Half retaining on kerfoot and Nyquist at the deadline would be smart. They probably both get a 2nd round pick minimum. I also think kerfoot only takes a third or fourth to acquire right now

I agree a 3rd for kerfoot, that’s why it’s colorados 2nd because it will be basically a 3rd

I think if nyquist keeps it up I think u can get more then a 2nd he had 53 points 2.75 million for a guy who can put up 50 is quite good

Not really your paying a struggling young defenceman and a 6th for a guy who put up 50 points last season. Basically a 3rd for a guy who did good for the leafs. Scandella contract for only a couple of years and you don’t need to worry. Dump Sliverberg

Yeah I’m a jackets fan and will hate losing Nyquist. He would be a great third line winger on a cup team. Can do everything and would provide great leadership to the young guys on the ducks

Yes really, these trades accomplish 0 positive

Mahura is worth more than a player CBJ may be forced to dump
Kerfoot is not worth a second to a rebuilding team
Henrique>>>>Scandella
Retaining 2M for 2 seasons is worth more than a 5th

None of these make the Ducks better long term, it actually makes them worse long term while they are rebuilding.

This would be a failure of an offseason if Verbeek did this

Silf isnt a dump when we are 10M under the cap floor, we need his contract.

None of these trades make any sense for ANA

How to reach the cap floor: Sign lundestrom to the Comtois deal 2M AAV, sign Vaakaninen and Benoit to a 1M AAV, sign Will Butcher 2x3M, sign Ryan Donato 2x2M, sign another UFA for 1M and done

Mahaura is in the same boat as mete and he hit free agency
Kerfoot isn’t really because they need cap space
No not really Henrique was on waivers
Eh I don’t think so

Ya he seems like a guy like Tatar super underrated, definitely go to a team that needs a 3rd line Rw for some veteran depth

Mahura is not in the same boat as Mete, Brendan Guhle and Jacob Larsson were, Mahura is valued in ANA and Nyquist is a cap dump to ANA, horrible deal
Kerfoot is not worth a second to a rebuilding team, there are countless FAs that fill the same role as him and we dont need to give up anything for
Bob Murray was fired for waivng Rico, that was the main thing that made him get investigated, that has 0 impact on his value, Ducks dont move him for no reason for a contract STL might need to dump
Well you're wrong then, Silf is arguably the msot respected Duck by the FO, he isnt going to be dumped.

Again all of these trade are terrible for ANA

It's a HORRID trade for the Blues, thanks. They're not paying 2m extra for the next two years for a player they don't need.
