Chicago should probably get comfortable with that Seth Jones contract. Full NMC, so he chooses where he goes. Probably wants to play for a contender, none of which have cap space for that albatross contract. Chicago is not retaining for 8 years so that leaves teams who CAN afford him like the Sabres, Ducks, Yotes etc. None of those teams are going to take on that contract AND pay premium assets for it. Might as well ask yourself if Chicago would trade actual assets (picks, prospects) for Jeff Skinner. You'll get the same answer, not a chance.

All those prices are too high. You might get afirars and a first for Kane. Maybe a prospect and a 2nd for Toews. I don’t see Jones waiving his NMC to go anywhere but COL or DAL.

That was the most ridiculous Seth Jones trade I've ever seen. And Buffalo doesn't even make since for a destination.

I would bet buffalo would ask chicago to send 2 1sts to take him on.

This is a complete pipe dream the only trade that has the slightest chance is the Colorado one and I'm still not sure if it happens
