The Atlantic is so tough this year. I don't think the team above sniffs the playoffs. Also, where is Dach?

That Chychrun trade is pretty bad. TDL or not he still has term on his deal and is young. You're sending them nothing of value except a late 1st.

Only the last one is realistic,
the Chychrun one is really bad, 1 cap dump (Armia) / 1 C prospect (Hillis) / 1 bottom 6-7 def (Wideman) and a late 1st (Panther), If Chariot get a 1st and B prospect last year, Chychrun get at least an A proscpect, an 1st and maybe some other asset

1. You’re looking at Florida’s first to get rid of the expensive headache that is Hoffman.

2. That late first plus a pile of junk doesn’t get Chychrun

3. Islanders won’t retain on Bailey, plus you’re overpaying for him.

4. Detroit isn’t giving up a 2nd for the 4C from the worst team in hockey last year.

2. That late first plus a pile of junk doesn’t get Chychrun (who says its a late first)

3. Islanders won’t retain on Bailey, plus you’re overpaying for him. (the overpayment is for the retention)

4. Detroit isn’t giving up a 2nd for the 4C from the worst team in hockey last year.
( a cheap center with term who can play wing and was a 3C during their cup run)

It’s more about fit and need, Detroit already has like 5 guys that can do what Evans does.

Jake Evans is not worth a 2nd. He's a solid depth role player. Nothing more. I'd give you a 4th at best.

If you want the STL 2nd 2023, as this is a deep draft, here's Detroit's proposal.

Montreal receives: STL 2nd 2023 + Adam Erne
Detroit receives: Jake Evans + Lane Hutson + MTL 4th 2023
