Isles don’t really need either player. I’d rather keep Bellows.

I think considering mittelstadts season was a bust due to injury after showing promise under granato, we hold on to him for the season.

Do some research on Addison potential top 4 Offensive d man and host is probably right around the same skill as Mids

Addison is one year younger than Mittelstadt and has played 18 NHL games, but somehow he has a ton of promise and mittelstadt is a bust.

Technically he isn’t a bust but he is a bust for how high he was taken in the draft and personally I love mids but times running out for him and I think he’s a top 9 Forward that can be flashy at times and chip in on offense

In the sense of, there's no room for Addison. Sure it's fair value, bur where exactly does Addison fit in? I'd rather give Mittelstadt another year. I really don't see what was so funny you lol'd.

Lol. Now you're changing your stance from it doesn't get you him, to sure it's fair value.

If minny offered that, you take it and run.

He doesn't start that way. He starts as the 1C. If Mitts does well, he's moved to 2RW. If Bellows does well, he's moved to the 4th line. I still have him on the PP and PK.

Mitts is the main piece in this ACGM. Svechnikov as well (to some degree). The rest are mostly fluff. I'm curious if other fans would consider this team -- whether it be just the Mitts trade, Svechnikov signing, the rest or a combination thereof -- is better than our current roster.

IMO the Wilds biggest needs are:
1. Another player pusher like Middleton.
2. At least one big bodied forward like Foligno to take pressure off the GREEF line.
3. A true #1C. Hartman has been nice but he's nothing w/o his linemates and I feel last season was an anomaly. That being said, he earned the 1C spot to start the season. I believe Rossi will be a great #1B C. Now we need a #1A C to play with Kap and Zucc/Yurov. Khusnutdinov might be that but we won't get him until the 24/25 season. Haight looked really impressive during the development camp but I still need to see more before I can get my hopes up.
4. A straight shooter that can immediately improve our atrocious PP.

Also, I'm a big Dumba fan and would extend him to a team friendly $5.1x5 extension (at most). I also like Greenway so he's untouchable for me.

OTB:
* Addison = he's a stud but will never crack the lineup cuz we have Spurg locked down for another 6yrs, Dumba another 6yrs (assuming we extend him), Faber is is NHL ready and a coach that isn't interested in playing yet another undersized RD.
* Kulikov = I'd love to swap him for a player that address need #1 or need #4.
* Jost = not really on the block per se, more of a cap casualty. I'd love it if Evason gave him a shot on the Boldy-Rossi line but I have a strange feeling that isn't going to happen. IDK. I really like the kid and it wouldn't be like Geurin to trade a young player he recently acquired.

Also, I'd be down with this package a BUF fan proposed with the Wild trading a '24 2nd straight up for Mitts. We'd just need to clear up space. I'm sure we could construct some trade package shipping Kulikov and/or Jost & we'll be fine. I'd still want to trade Addison for something while his value is high and he's earned a spot on an NHL team.

HOWEVER, I've heard from MANY BUF fans that they'd rather receive a player than yet another pick which is why I overpaid (in my mind) with Addison and Jost. If there are any other players you'd be interested in (within reason of course), LMK. I just think it'd be cool to have the former gopher come back home and resurrect his career.

Jost is a former 1st round pick (to date he is under performing) and Addison is a RHD, who has a great resume playing at Lethbridge (1.04 pts/gm with Cozens as a team mate), Iowa (0.79 pts/gm) and 2020 World Junior U-20 Championships (1.29 pts/gm).
Mittelstadt could have a breakout year if he stays healthy, but Buffalo could use a RHD.
The value of the trade depends on who has greater potential.
At this point Mittelstadt and Addison are about equal.
Buffalo has depth at center but lacks RHD, it is a trade the Sabres should make.

It's still too early, Mitts will definitely get another chance because he usually looks really good when he's healthy, hopefully he stays healthy and it's going to be a breakthrough season for him.

Mitts was taken like 40 picks higher so he's obviously more likely to get called a bust lol

And yes, Calen Addison is well.regarded as a high upside prospect, even at 22 years of age

And Jost? He's like 7 months older and Mitts is not a huge upgrade over him. Both players have "untapped potential"

This isn't good asset management from Minnesota and Buffalo should see if there really is something there with Mittelstadt
