It is only theoretical. You can keep dreaming of Fox because he isn't going anywhere

I'll rather pick him up after this season for nothing.

If you read the description you would see that I am not a miller fan boy. I wouldn't want to sign him to NYR either. So we are seeing it the same.

We keep Fox. And you have him for one more season. Deal?

Yes, but I am not high on him. I wouldn't want to sign him. I would love to see him continue with VAN

I like Chytil and the value isn’t bad but COL isn’t trading their 23 1st.

I'm not sure if the math would work completely but I'm pretty sure you can keep Chytil over Sam Steel at 3C - I think Chytil looked good in the playoffs so I'd be interested in hanging on to him for at least this year to see if he takes the leap.

I think you might add a little (talking like a 2nd rounder in 2024 level of value) to the Miller trade just to account for the retention/taking Reaves off your hands, but I think it's fair value. Vancouver fans keep hammering that they want an RHD in return for him, well here's a recent 1st rounder who's already made their NHL debut. I'm not sure how much more value they're going to get from another team (for instance, the Islanders) at this point.

Normally I agree about Chytil. But it is going to be hard resining all the young players next year. I agree about the Miller trade too. I am still on the fence where it is worth acquiring or not. I am just as fine not trading for him. I pretty much agree with everything you said basically

Replace Lundkvist with Schneider, remove the Lockwood for Reaves swap, and you may actually get some interest from Vancouver. The Canucks already have two small, high skill, offense first defensemen, adding a third in Lundkvist doesn't help. Just because he shoots right doesn't automatically mean that he is a fit for the Canucks.

And if you do want to dump Reaves' cap onto the Canucks you'll have to add more, and as we've seen recently the cost to move out cap isn't cheap.

Like I said in the description I am not for a Miller trade. I gave the package that I think Drury is willing to give. With that said I don't think they should.
And even if I think Lundkvist has higher ceiling than Schneider, NYR and Drury are more high on him.
I was just playing around with how the lineup would look like if they did trade for him. And like may have already pointed out, that ever since the Trocheck signing I don't think Drury is in on Miller at all anymore.

So that is that

Yeah you can’t get Schneider for Miller tbh. And Lundkvist would’ve been in the show last year if not for the fact Trouba has a full NMC. I have to assume the rangers will try and move that deal at some point down the line even if he’s their captain.

Why would any NYR fan want to give away some of our only assets for 1 year of Jonathan Tanner, who was booted out of town and certainly not in the future cards?? Or want to poke the knuckleheads bear? Or play Steel, Rydahl or Carpenter before Blais?

I don't know? I wouldn't. Read the description. This is only a "if they do" how would the line up look like than.

Blais is worth more in the taxi squad
He was out the whole season last year and we managed good without him.

He sure help us to post season last year, yeah I know... I am just talking crazy. That was a super deal trading for Blais, long live Blais. He is the greatest hockey player ever putting on a pair of skates.
So happy?
