The Jets aren’t giving up one of their best forwards in exchange for an unneeded LD. An offer for Ehlers probably starts at Andersson and a first. It might seem expensive but that would be the Jets asking price.

There's simply nothing in it for Winnipeg.

I agree that hanifin could be their best dman. But they already have Morrissey, Dillon, Schmidt, Stanley, Heinola and Samberg all fighting for spots on the left side. Would cost the flames a lot more than they’re willing to spend

He looked like Calgary's worst dman in the playoffs, I don't think he's highly valuable anymore , never mind in a one for one for an elite forward

Yeah, he's vastly overrated. Saying Hanafin would be the Jets best defenseman is silly.

Not good for Winnipeg at all, the Jets only have four legit top 6 forwards, they can't afford to move one for a dman especially another left handed one.

The Jets would never make this trade but these takes are just terrible.

He was a top pairing defense on the top team in the pacific, he's 25, has already played over 500 nhl games, is extremly durable, was drafted 5oa and put up 48 pts with strong defensive metrics.
He has a ton of value. Getting beat by McDavid in the second round doesn't change that.. He would easily be a top pairing defender on the Jets.

He's had one good year. If he can repeat it, then you might have a point, but right now last year was an aberration and Hanafin is what he always has been, an average middle pairing LD.

That's going to be a no from the Jackets. Gavrikov is too important to our blueline; we'd much rather keep him. For most teams Dube would be a decent enticing piece, but we have so many quality young forwards as is that he'd get lost in the noise.
