Neither team needs this. but from the rangers perspective, just put Trocheck C and play Kravtsov on the wing

Reeves has significant negative value and even if he was an ok 4th liner the leafs dont need or want one. And the rest doesn't get the leafs to retain on kerfoot

Rags didn’t sign Troch to that deal to play wing, he’ll be their 2C.

The whole purpose of Leaf’s moving Kerfoot is to clear money - why would they take on two fringe 4th liners and a couple mid picks while not saving any money?

The Leafs never go for that trade and the Rangers don't need Kerfoot. If you sign a center to a 7 year, 5.625M contract to be your 2C, you're gonna wanna use them as your 2C. Not trade for another teams 3C to fill 2C spot that's already filled.

Trust me, the Panarin - Trocheck - Kakko line is gonna be amazing, don't even worry about it

yes, goons who arnt good at hockey have signifcant negative value, especially when they are old and expensive by good 4th liner standards

Reaves is hardly a goon - guy fought like 3 times last year which isn't even in the top 50 in the league.
Simmonds fought way more than him and there were 2 Rangers that fought more than him...
maybe he is getting paid a touch more than he should, but he is effective.

your statement only tells me you haven't watched his 10 minutes a night in the past year...

except that he is a goon. He doesnt fight because most hockey players are smart enough that he hurts the rangers more when he's on the ice than when he's in the penalty box and they arnt going to put themselves in the penalty box for the pleasure.
He isnt effective at anything, and your retort tells me you haven't watched a hockey game in 20 years

he doesn't take stupid penalties, forechecks hard, forces turnovers and adds a layer of protection to everyone else on the team - what more is needed out of a 4th liner?

he's terrible at hockey and protects literally no one. 4th liners need to still be good at hockey players, so, like everything about being a hockey player that isnt skating into a scrum and throwing a late hit is needed. He's just bad.

because no one is affraid of him and they do what they always do if he's on the ice or on the bench and if he comes at them they just laugh and skate away because they know he wont do anything and if he does he'll go to the box and they'll get a power play. He's less than useless because he takes a roster spot away from someone who could actually contribute possitivly to the game.
Im sure you have some compelling evidence to prove otherwise though, right?

that's what i thought. You make a statement you cant defend, demand i prove it wrong and then you cant even rebuff it with anything at all to support your original point. You're done alright, done trying to pretend you have anything at all to prove that reeves provides value on the ice
