Honestly I would give more weight to Severson, if he came with an extension I could see those pieces being added.

Nobody except Vancouver is taking those deals. Mercer isn’t a throw in, and what are you giving the Yotes to actually acquire those picks and players, since the 2nd and 3rd would be for the 2 cap dumps.

Trust me Vancouver fans you don't want Severson. Terrible in his own end. And yeah that trade to the Devils is terrible. Mercer is likely a future star, it would take a Rathbone or Podkolzin in that deal. Leafs are shopping Holl, wouldn't cost Vancouver more than a couple of 3rds, and with a $2 million cap hit its good value.
