Risto is so bad. Lol. Dvorak isn’t anything special but on a good team with strong wingers he’s a decent 2C imo

Dvorak is a serviceable 2C, most likely a 3C, on a team friendly contract.

Risto is a defensive nightmare, on a terrible contract.

This in no way helps the Habs.... unless they want to get the 1st overall pick 5 years in a row.

Believe it or not Risto actually wasn’t bad last season. His defense has improved. He’s one of those players that can’t play top pair minutes because he isn’t on that level, but has the potential to be a relatively stable second pair option. Though I do think being paired with Sanheim is part of the reason why he wasn’t nearly as bad. His size and physicality will really help him in a playoff environment- which is ironic because he’s never been there.

The guy who has a 1% WAR% and is 7% at Even Strenght and 13% on the PK.

Guy is awful, he was sheltered with Sanheim, with the Habs he would be exposed night in and night out.

I wouldn't touch that contract if the league allowed 100% Salary retention.

Putting Dvorak on defense would probably be a better and cheaper option than getting Risto.
